The Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women is a wonderful domestic violence assistance organization. We’ve previously interviewed Jan Brown of, and discussed how their organization is different from most. Needless to say, the biggest difference is that their organization helps male victims of domestic violence as well as women. This is a radical and wonderful departure from most domestic violence organizations.

They’re involved in the Pepsi Challenge, which, if they win, will afford them $50,000 grant from Pepsi which will be put to excellent use as they continue to grow to truly serve all victims of domestic violence.

Please help Jan Brown and the Domestic Abuse Help Line for Men and Women.

From Jan Brown:

I sent a note earlier this month about helping us out by going to the Pepsi Refresh website and voting for our all volunteer agency (since 2000) that specializes in offering supportive services to under served victims i.e. male victims. We are losing the Pepsi challenge, not enough people are voting daily for us to win.

If you truly want to see under served victims receive services (toll free helpline, hotel and safe housing emergency shelter, food, clothing, transportation costs etc) from an agency that really cares about them please take a few seconds out of your day for the rest of November to vote for our agency to win beginning today. Info on how to do so is below.

Thanks, Jan Brown

It only takes  a few moments to text your vote into the Pepsi Challenge each day.

Using your mobile phone, please text 103820 to 73774 (Pepsi).  Pepsi will send a confirmation text letting you know that they’ve received your vote. If you simply leave that text-message in your sent folder, all you’ll need to do is re-send it 1x each day.  (Standard text messaging charges apply.)  With minimal effort you can help DAHMW win the $50,000 grant which will be  put to good use as they continue to help all victims of domestic violence regardless of gender.
